it's raining, it's pouring, on the corner, i'm whoring

September 25 2001
I wish I could talk about work but I can't. I have a policy of not totally dissing a current place of employment or coworkers or tasks that I find useless or insane. But my contract is up November 2nd, so we'll chat then. Put the kettle on.

It's been raining here for what feels like forever, but in reality has probably been about 3 days. I don't have an umbrella because everytime it rains I'm like "Fuck! I don't have an umbrella. I have to get an umbrella today" but I manage to get myself to wherever I'm going and then the sun will peek out and I'll forget about it because I'm convinced that now that it is sunny I don't need one. Like it's never going to rain again- ever. And then by the time I have to leave work it's raining and my mom calls from New York to be all "Did ya get the umbrella yet?!" And I have to lie and be like "Um... it's ....coming."

I have lived in Canada for 3 winters and have never owned an umbrella. When I was at U of T, rain meant "no school today."

Interestingly enough, I do not have a degree of any kind. This sort of thing only really bothers Accenture.
